how to cancel h1b approval

Hi all,

I have applied for h1b through consultant, I have got h1b approval before few days, yet i havent gone for visa stamping. but becoz of some family problems I want to cancel my h1b petition..how can i do that. please guide me as soon as possible so i can make decision..

NO, i m not having PR, my parents got PR and i m following to join beneficiary of their I 140, but havent heard on that petition so long, so I went for h1b route, but again i have decided to stay in home country and so i want to cancel h1b..
so how can i inform my consultant/employer to cancel my h1b ? what is the procedure for them to cancel it? how long will it take to cancel?? does it have any impact on future visa??

Tell your employer to contact CIS and ask how to cancel it.
no impact on future visa.

In response to "GotPR?"'s post, this poor buddy thought you were asking him a question....got PR? and he started off by saying he doesnt have PR...

I thought it was funny!!!

GotPR? since U got PR, my humble suggestion would be to remove the question mark

Actually, his sig shows he has GC already and I asked why he needs H1. Then I realized his sig was for his parents, not his, so I deleted my statement. Prolly he saw my post before I deleted my statement and responded..
Lot of thing happened within 1 nano second.

ANyhow, thank for the suggestion, maybe i should replace ? with !!.

------------------you dont need to do anything if you dont want to join US employer in US then dont go for H1 Visa stamping (even if you get Visa stamp no problem).how can i do that.
-------------------------only US employer can do it by writing to USCIS.
please guide me as soon as possible so i can make decision..

you dont need to do anything, having H1 approved for you is not going to create any problems for you. H visa has"dual Intent". if you dont want to come to US that is OK. Nobody can force you to reach US on H1.
