How soon I have to apply for H-1B Renewal before it expire?

Hello Friends,

My H-1b is expiring in sep 08 , so before how many months or days ago i have to apply for it's renewal.

and how long it take to got my new renewal later, is it mendotary to go my country india for stamping, or is it ok to stay without stamp.

plz help me here .
 
You can file 6 months before H1 expires. You can also wait up to the 2nd last day and then file, but obviously that will be risky. So look at the current processing times of USCIS and file accordingly.
You do not need to get the stamping done right away. You can wait until you travel outside, but remember, you will need to get the visa stamped in order to reenter. You can also go to Canada or Mexico to get the stamping done, depends which one is closer.

can i file for h-1b renewal before 6 months, as my h-1b is expiring in sep 08 so i have to file at end of the march, but i want to do in start of march.

Now i m thinking to change current employer & think not able to find out good employer within one month.

what u guys suggesting do i file h-1b renewal in starting of march and once i got approval and then in aug or sept i find new employer and do h-1 transfer.

or i will wait and try to find out good employer and transfer this current h-1b in may or june and not file for renewal.

which one is the best and safe way to do.
 
You cannot file for renewal in beginning of March.
If you want to change employer, then do not file for renewal. Find the new employer/job and file for transfer in May/June.
