How Much Time Left over for me to work in USA on H1B, kindly advise

Hi,

Here is my scenario.

First H1B with company 'A':

Issue Date : 15 Nov 2002
Expirary Date :02 Sep 2005

I landed USA on 20 Nov 2002 on this H1B....

I worked for 'A' and left USA on 26th June 2003.

And found a employer B, got a fresh H1B and entered USA again on '28 apr 2004.


Did my H1B clock reset for 6 years from 28 april 2004?

or How much still I have on H1B as I am planning to see if I can relocate to India on perment basis or apply for GC..

I am scared with the lenghty process of GC...

Your H1 6 yr clock would have reset if you stayed outside of the US for one full year, but you entered before that time.
Counting from Nov 2002, you have up to Nov 2008 on your H1. Then you can also capture the 10 months that you spent outside the US. If you are planning to file for GC, you should do so. Even when H1 6yr expire, you can keep extending your H1 untill you get your GC.

I am confused again. I am easily confused huh....

1 year of outside period which resets the 6 years period......, should it be 1 year in one strech or can be multiple stretches?

Like, I am already 10 months outside USA....so next time, If I renter USA after 2 months, will I get 6 years again?.
