Any number of times with in 6 Years. E.g. If your first H1 is approved for only 2 yrs (not necesssary for always 3 yrs), then second one 3 yrs and third one 1 year.
If you have LC pending more than a year, you keep renewing it for ever, every year, until your I 485 is approved.
