How many RFEs shud I expect in 485 Approval??

Ok here we go:-

First the status of my & spouse's GC process:- 140 approved lastyear; 485 pending since Jan 03(19 months); Both FPs done(2nd one on August 20th).

On my state labor MN state asked my lawyer to post a new salary as per the designation(by lawyer mistake) listed in LC application my salary was supposed to be 72K in Minnesota. But in reality I make around 67K including bonuses/perks but my base salary is 60K.
WHile we underwent the medical exams/tests for 485 my wife was pregnant so she didn't take MMR.

Ok now the main topic:-
When I sent 485 for me & wife I didn't realize about these 2 things:-
1. For my birth certificate (BC) I sent only 3 affidavits from parents/relative but i DID NOT sent Not-Available certificate. In this case I need to send my Not-available certificate.
2. For my wife's birth certificate (BC) we were able to get certificate for her but it was issued as-of 2003; which i relaized later that alone is not acceptable. SO in her case we need to send affidavits.
3. Will i also receive any RFE for Employment verification??
4. or something about salary difference?? I know I shouldn't rcv any RFE for salary as proposed salary is for future after GC approval and 2ndly time has changed since i filed Labor in 2002 and so has the salaries, down ofocurse.
5. Should i also expect an RFE for my wife to take MMR shots before the approval of her application???

So i know what RFE's to expect but what are the chances that they will bury me down with all these RFEs??? What's your take on this case; how many RFEs will i Get??

I have all docs prepared & ready to respond so no problem there.

Considering the fact that you are one of the few '03 filers with FP2 means that your case is going better than expected. The birth, medical and employment RFEs you talk about are not necessarily going to be raised. We have seen approvals without these RFEs and of late minimum RFE seems to be the norm.

The positive aspect is that you have all the docs and will be able to answer queries - so one is as good as a dozen.

Question:

What do you think triggered the FP2. My attorney wants to file AP almost 6 months in advance. I am willing to spend the amount if I know my 485 will come out of hibernation. Any thoughts, guys.

I wouldn't call that my case is going better i think its as slow as it is for everybody.
About what triggered FP2; i think it is just a time line of 18 months after 1st FP.
In my comapny we are 2 indians working and we started GC 2 months apart of each other and he got his FP2 done 1 month prior to me,he's Nov 02 filer I'm Jan 03 filer.

My hopes are pinned on the fact that this is election year so we might see approvals early and fast; probably thats one of the reason we r seeing many posts a day with approvals.
I might run in to problems about wife's MMR shots bcoz she's going to india for 3 months and i'm sure I'll get RFE for that while she's away to further delay the processing. I Hope for the worst in this.

rsur is right, your case is more advanced than most 1/03 cases that have not seen FP2 yet. As for the RFE, there are chances to get each one of them, and then again, you might not get from some of them. The most important thing is that you are ready and will be able to respond quickly and increase your chances for quick approval.

Best of luck,

I agree wholeheartedly with Rsur and gvaknin. I think you are one of the lucky ones, amcom. I have not heard anything from USCIS, and you and I are only few days apart in terms of our FP1 date.

As Rsur hinted, I am going to cough up $300+ to renew my EAD for the third time and AP for the second time. I am hoping that it would trigger some kind of action from Nebraska...well, it does not hurt to be proactive by doing whatever I can get my hands on to make the process go faster.

Keep me posted on your progress, guys. I hope I have something to report back to you in the next few weeks.

Hey JAPANESE.... where were you I knew that ur & my case was few days apart.. so i wanted to check with your status. So you haven't rcvd FP2 yet... you'll be rcvng it pretty soon, as i told you we are 2 GC filers at same company and ours is proceeding at same speed he got his FP2 done 1 month b4 i got mine done. & I'm in MN and you are in IL so i'm +ve that u r going to get same treatment. Recently there was no address change, no communication at all from my side to INS which cud've triggered FP2 so it has to be the time period of 18 months after 1st FP.

I'm hoping to get GC approved by end of this year as 2 yrs shud be enough man. My GC expenses are touching 7-8K (my own money) and i want to avoid another expense of 3rd EAD.

Good luck 2 u all and me too...........

I am not sure if the 18 month cut off date is a given.
