Please provide your inputs(or your friends) on how long its taking to get a receipt notice from CSC for normal H1-B transfer application. H1-B transfer application was sent to CSC on 9/22/04, and I'am still waiting --- thanks much...
Thanks HurricaneBay, I'll update this thread after I receive it...But according to my lawyer its taking "atmost" 15 days. I am starting to get worried...as I have already informed my current employer(foolish, oh well!)...I may have to consider premium processing if I dont get the receipt in next 3 -5 working days...
I got the darn receipt today. It took almost a month! I think if you have the courier receipt as a proof that USCIS received your H1 transfer application, you should be able to move to your new employer. I didn't bother to ask my lawyer about the courier receipt since mine is H1 extension with the same company.
Is there a difference in time for receipt for premium processing? How long is it taking for H-1 transfer of premium processing? usually one week. If any RFE your attorney will get it through fax.[/QUOTE]
receipt is supposed to take same time for normal & premium. But with premium you would get the approval itself within 10 working days, and this sometimes happens even before you get the receipt(which seems to take around 3 weeks now-a-days at CSC )
just to update, I haven't received my receipt for normal processing yet .
Anbody else applied H1 recently?, please share your time line...
applied on?
received by service center on?
service center issued receipt on?
receipt received by you on?
redwebb I am curious if you got your recipt number by now. We have a similar case not from CSC, but did not get recipt number till now. It was supposed to have been filed on 9/10/04.
I finally got my receipt notice yesterday, 10/19/04.
Applied On: 9/22/04
Received by CSC on: 9/23/04
Receipt notice date by CSC: 9/28/04
I got the receipt notice on: 10/19/04
Days mentioned on receipt for processing the case: 150-180 days (this is ridiculous ... )
I keep wondering why they wouldn't stop standard processing & replace it totally with the current premium processing procedure. I mean, they already have a faster way to process H-1Bs, why not use it for all cases ????? instead of stealing money from workers in the name of better service - this is raw descrimination! I guess they have limited resources to work on premium cases...
Waiting 5-6 months for getting a H-1B is RIDICULOUS!!!
