How long it takes for GC holder wife to immigrate to US?

Friend of mine recently got his 10 year green card. He would like to marry girl from his native country. Once they are married – how soon can she immigrate to US?

Will they adjust her status sooner if they get married in US vs. native country?
 
Spouses of GC holders are subject to a numerical quota and mere filing of a GC application does not entitle them to come to US. The only way she can come to US is to do so independently through an H1 or L1 visa (if qualified).

No, it will take 5-6 years before she is admitted, unless she can get an H or L status.

It will be faster for the GC-holder to get US citizenship and then sponsor his wife.
