How long I can stay in H4? Uegent! Pls help!

I have used H1 for 4 years, then stay in H4 for 1 year.

My spouse is now renewing H1 for another 2 years. How long can I stay in H4 status? Will it be the same 2 years? Or only 1 year?

you can stay with H4 until your spouse's H1 gets invalid.

--- you can stay on H4 till your spouse H1. if your spouse file for H1 extension then your H4 extension also need to be filed with form I-539. request your spouse to file your h4 extension with his H1 extension papers.
