How long does it take on Avg for RFE to Approval

my RFE was received by CSC on May 6, 2004. and my case disappeared from phone system on August 6, 2004. But nothing else happened since then.
 
Dima66a, you have to call the emergency number to appeal your situation, to make an appointment to see an officer at local INS, or to send a letter to Congressman or Senator. I did all these things last four months, and got FP2 notice. First of all, you can do these efforts to get the FP2.
 
i did all of these. all my LUDs after 05/06 correlate with answers to 2 senators, 2 congressmen, my lawyer, and my faxes to level 2. countless more requests were ignored.
The answers have different wordings but the same meaning: "This case will be adjudicated when processing is completed". It is pretty similar to Rumsfield's famous: "What we are doing is that, what is currently doable by the way that we are doing it"
 
Have you ever met an officer at local INS office? If you did not that one, try it. Just say the fact, not complaint. Your question should be focused on that your FP1 was expired and you need FP2. I think FP2 can trigger your case be processed. Just explain about FP. Don't mention the word "approval." You say just the words, "proceed," "finger prints," or "adjudicate."

received by CSC on 11/22/2003 (LUD update on 11/24 and a standard message it's taking 360/360 day, since in your case the prelim processing id complete should not take that long .......)
another change in LUD 12/24

No reply so far, is this normal (almost 6 weeks now), shall I call the 800 number ?

the closest INS office is ~120 miles from my place. we have ASC here. I went there and talked to the workers. They were glad to talk to me because their work is very boring. Sometimes one or two people come for FP per day, sometimes no one. I sent to senators, to congressmen, to CSC division XII, to CIS Ombudsman the same story: here is my case without FP2, and here is ASC with peolple having nothing to do, the question: why I'm not getting FP2?

No reaction so far.

12/24 was for mass update. I had it too, so it would be meaningless. I had the LUD change on 12/24 even after the RFE was mailed. Anyway, you had better faxt an inquiry form to CSC.

I have a question. Is it saying, "..... 360 days.... not too long"? My message says ".....660 days..... less than..."

I think the best way is to meet an officer. Face-to-face!! I met an officer when I did not get the notice of FP2. I explained my situation, not having the 2nd FP. Just say the fact! Ask a help to an officer!!

Yes. It says 360 days. How many days (weeks) normally it takes to get a response after CSC receives the dosuments against the rfe ?
 
Do you have the LUDs after 12/24? I guess that sometimes the adjudicator forgets the casese that should be processed. Normally, it takes around 2 weeks for the RFE cases of I485. So, if you do not get response you have to send an inquiry.

My RFE was issued on 12/01, and after then there have been many LUDs until the RFE was received by CSC. It's weird. I think the LUDs include for inquiry, mass-update and real process. Whatever, one of them may result in approval.

LUD change after RFE is a good sign.. this is my experience. you should get appproved soon.

Have you called the emergency number to find out if your name check has cleared?
My LUD changed on 12/30 and I tried to call the emergency number, but they would not give me any information at all.
 
To see whether the name check has been cleared call FBI Liaison Office (304) 625-5590.
You will need you're A# and I-485 case number when you call them. hope this helps
 
I called the emergency number to check the status, becase I had three inquires without response for the last three months. They accepted my phone call, and I got some information about my case.

I called the number you mentioned and was told that this division is not handling the name check. For name check they gave me the number which says that they are not accepting phone calls and all inquires should be made by e-mail.
 
My case was approved on Jan 7, 2005. I got e-mail notification and update message on Jan 10, 2005.

I see.. I called around oct last time .. Looks like the process changed now :(
