How long does it take for the No Objection Letter to appear as received on-line

Hi.

Could somebody give me an idea of how long does it take for a No objection letter sent by an embassy to appear as "received" in the on-line status webpage?

The embassy of my country has sent the letter on Nov-16-2006 and the on-line status webpage doesn't show any reception yet (almost 7 weeks).

I talked by phone to a "visa specialist" and she told me: "6 weeks is nothing" and to wait 2 weeks more.

Thanks.

Yikes - I had the same problem. It definitely can take some extra time if your embassy sent it via regular mail instead of Fedex or express mail. But the person I talked to at the DOS when I called 3 weeks after it was sent said "6 weeks". So now they told you that "6 weeks is nothing"? That's a bit weird. Mine got posted 2 days after a called, so in a little over 3 weeks.
I suggest that you wait maybe another week and then call again, this time ask them for a fax number where your embassy can fax it and if possible, the name of the specialist handling your case so you can send the fax to their attention. You can also ask the embassy how they sent it (regular or express) to be sure.

Thank you for the feedback.

Lucy: Can you elaborate on your message? Yours never appeared ... but, did you got the favorable recommendation? How long after the embassy send the letter?

Regards

My case is wired..

Chinese embassy sent no object statement in Dec 2006.
DOS online shows No Objection Statement received Jan 05 07
however, this item was gone on Jan 26 07
on Jan 30, there are two more items:
Incomplete Information Letter Sent January 29, 2007
No Objection Statement Requested January 29, 2007

waiting for the letter.

it is wired. the only reasonable scenario I can imagine is that DOS got the letter, then lost it....

anyone was in similar situation?
