How long does EAD/Ap Renewal takes now?

Thanks for the feedback - looks like the process is pretty fast now. I might end up applying now for the EAD anyway, just for peace of mind.

I wrote the letter to "Dear Immigration Officer", and sent it to the regular TSC mail (actually, I wrote the letter, but my lawyer mailed it). I also sent a TON of documents with it, including my non-refundable flight information, non-refundable hotel reservations, and those of all the other people who were joining me (it was a big family reunion in Canada)... My lawyer had originally thought he would fax it to TSC but when he saw the package he decided to mail it instead!

And - get this - the AP documents actually came through DHL! I actually even wrote a "thank you" after that! :)
 
EAD Applied In Jan 08, Not yet Approved

I applied for EAD in first week of Jan 08 (e-file) to TSC (Current EAD expires Apr 30th). Received biometric notice on 15th (from MSC, St. Louis, MO). Did biometric on Jan 30th, but no LUD after that. I missed to put my 485 receipt info in the 'status details' box, however I checked in the 'Will send Supporting Docs' and did send it next day of applying with the coversheet it prints out, included all the docs needed to paperfile, including 485 receipt copy. Do you guys think I should do anything more...
 
E-file EAD with TSC

I renewed my EAD online on 1/18/08. I did not mail in any documents. FP was done on 1/29/08. The new card was ordered on 2/23/08.
 
Paper EAD in 2 weeks

I filed my wife's EAD on 16th Jan.. got EAD approved in one week.. and in mail in 2 weeks.. (as if they were just waiting for my check!)
 
I filed EAD& AP on Jan 2nd and my EAD is still pending, I got AP approval though. My current EAD is expiring on March 28 and I am using EAD at my present job. I need to fax Texas center requesting approval of my case but dont have the fax number, can someone provide me the TSC fax for EAD cases?

Hello everybody:

This is the first time I applied for EAD. I have not received any Finger-printing notice. On-line case status check does not show any change in LUD - it's stuck at the receipt date 01/2/2008. Is this usual? Is it taking more time because this is the first time EAD petition for me? I am worried about what's going on...

Any thoughts / suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks folks.

My dates are:
PD: Aug. 2002 (Labor cert filing date) - Rest of the World category
I-140 approved in 2005 or 2006 (cannot remember right now)
I-485 filed w/ Texas TSC in May 2007
I-485 Fingerprinting completed in June 2007
EAD petition filed after Christmas 2007 : receipt date: 01/2/2008
 
EAD/AP renewal timelines...

Hi Folks,

I applied for EAD in fourth week of Jan 08 (e-file) to VSC (Current EAD expires Apr 20th). Received biometric notice for 8th Feb and got it done and got a soft LUD on the case. This is second EAD/AP extension. My current EAD is expiring in 4th week of April.

I applied my AP renewal by paper filing to NSC (I am in CA region) on Jan, 23rd, 08 and got a receipt notice date of 28th Jan 08. I did paper filing to see if that helps getting the decision faster. My current AP is expiring in 4th week of April.

How long does it take to get the approval of these cases? Anybody has any idea?

Approve EAD (e-filed), was just worried as forgot to put my 485 rcpt no, though sent the copy of rcpt as supporting docs.

Here is the timeline, for guidance:

Filed: First week of Jan 08
Biometric (code 2) Notice rcvd: Jan 3rd week
Biometrics done: Jan end
Card Production Ordered: Feb End.

Total Process took about 8 weeks.
 
just got EAD -card production ordered email, no approval email though, my EAD was approved in 60 days and my AP was approved in 30 days, both e-filed at TSC
 
AP Approved today

FYI - My AP approved today. It took just around 30 days. I used e-file.
My wife's still pending, It may approved soon.
 
My wife's EAD also got approved today. It was e-filed on January 8th at TCS. We gave FP and picture on Feb 01. So it took around 60 days for her.

Mine is still pending.
