How important is I-140 Approval notice while filing for AC21 portability

Gurus, I am planning to use AC21 to move on to another opportunity, my issue is that I don't have a copy of my approved I-140 receipt notice and neither does the on-line status message reflect this(I believe this happens very often). I came to know about my approval while my lawyer made an inquiry about my case and USCIS replied back to it with a letter with following................

"Your case was received on 09-20-2004 and was approved on 2-8-2005. The approval notice never did go out. I have genrated another notice and you should receive it in few days. Thank you for contacting the United States Citizenship ........................"

I have a copy of this letter, do you guys think I have enough to believe that my I-140 is approved or I am just being paranoid.(My 485 has been pending for 180+ days)

I am in a Simillar boat. The only proof I have is an email from my paralegal which said my I140 has been approved.

My company has this stupid policy of not giving out copy of I140 Approval.

I am ready for the switch and would like to know the importance of I140 approval for my future employer.

Please if the gurus can reply on this ....it would be great.

Thanks

---- you dont need the copy of I-140 approval to invoke AC21. you need new employer future permanent job offer letter with same/similar job duties+ copy of I-485+ cover letter to request AC21 and your intent change
