How I will know the Priority date?

I filed my N-400 on March 13th 2008. My check is cashed today by USCIS.
I see people posting the priority date upon filing, how they know that?


03/14/2008 : Mailed to CSC
03/19/2008 : PD (and Receive Date)
03/20/2008 : Check cashed (date USCIS endorsed my check)

Perhaps they received delivery confirmation that their application was received by USCIS, or they are incorrectly assuming that the date they sent in the application is the PD date.

It will be clearly stated on your receipt.

Are you talking about the Green Receipt mailed by USCIS. Nothing is written on that.

The green USPS return receipt should have the date it was received by USCIS. The USCIS Notice of Action letter you will receive will also have the PD date.
