How far one can defer his/her start date after H1B approval?

My wife changed her status from H4 to H1B (her first time H1B) recently. Since we had to find a preschool for our son, which turned out to be not easy, she is putting her start date off.

Her employer seems to be ok with that, but we are wondering how far she can legally postpone her start date. I see a post that one should start his/her work within 60 days of entry. Is this also applicable to the case of change of status? Actually, she wants to start her work as late as possible.

Thank you for your time.

I should have checked this before posting..

After surfing this forum for a while I came across this post as following link;

In the above link, according to Jim Mills, one should start the work within 30 days if the H1B employee is overseas upon approval, 60 days for COS case.

I hope this information is still valid. I appreciate if anyone can point out any change of regulation.

Thanks.
