How can I leave the US without damaging my record!

I came to the US about an year ago on valid student visa. I now want to travel to Canada where I want to apply for asylum. Since I only have less than two of months of US visa left, if I apply for Canadian visa, it is very likely that my application will be denied. Therefore, my best option is to seek asylum right on the port of entry/border in Niagara Falls.

The questions regarding my situation that I have are the following:

1. Before I get to the Canadian Immigration office on the border, I will most probably have to go through the US immigration. Even if this was not compulsory given the travel leniency between the two countries, I want to get an Exit on my passport from the US immigration so that my record with the US immigration does not show any violation of immigration law or anything which might affect my future travels to the US. In light of this, do you think the US immigration officers will issue me an exit if I tell them I am going to seek asylum in Canada while I will not have any valid document to enter Canada?
If this is not possible, do you think I can pass through the US immigration without being detected and ask for asylum on Canadian border? What are the future implications of this for me? Do I have an alternative?
P.S. Please note that I am here with my wife who has traveled to the US with me as my dependent and we also have a child just born in the US.

The only way to leave the US without damaging your reputation is by not overstaying your visa. If you do overstay or violate your visa you will most certainly have problems at the US consulate abroad where you are making your application. My advice: do not leave the US - get married and pursue your life there.

You are unlikely to be able to apply. If I recall correctly, Canada and the US have an agreement where you are required to apply for asylum in the first country you arrive in, rather than going forum shopping.

Considering the comments that the Canadian Immigration Minister made this week about the large number of people who appear to abuse the asylum system, your chances aren't better nowadays, either.
