Homeland Security to begin collecting photos and biometrics of Green Card holders

If what falls into the wrong hands? They've already fingerprinted every permanent resident, many times more than once.

Ok. Let's say you committed a crime and you come in. I got you. But then I already got your fingerprint so I should know where to look for you.

Ok, second. The ESTA from CBP has a lot of information from every visitor from the European Union.

Ok, third. I am all for homeland security. BUT, which safeguards will they use for this information ? National security safeguards ?? Who will have access to it ???

And last, if contractors can get a hold of your passport files like they did with Obama and Hillary and many others. What's left for us, simple people ????

I don't understand - how does my fingerprint tell you where to find me?

Dunno, not much different than your existing immigration file. Consider how much data is in your A-file already; multiple fingerprints, addresses, photographs, existing visa paperwork, entry/exit data etc. It's already accessible. And you're worried about an extra set of biometrics at the POE?

If you wanted privacy you should never have immigrated.

Fingerprints in applying for specific jobs in the private sector do require a criminal background check, therefore triggering law enforcement to come look for you, for example. On the other hand, if I have your full file I should know where to look for you.

In reference to how much data is on my A-file, what you are saying is basically the same as me knowing how much money you have on your bank account, how much money you make with full access to your tax records. I don't think many people would like that as being acceptable.-

One thing is privacy and another thing is ABUSE.
Abuse must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Nobody has the right to poke their noses into your life without good cause.
Therefore information must be protected and safeguarded.
