Holding F-1 and applying for Green Card

hi!!!
I am currently using F-1, but also in the pending of Green card. (family base)

I am wondering, while my green card is pending, do I still need to be a full time student? or a student at all? can I stop going to school before I receive my Green card? can I move away from school legally?

Also, before I receive Authorized of Emplyeement Document (EAD) can I work? but not getting paid? Can I work for free?

It is not clear your FB category from your info also your priority date.


Pending means, people used to wait even 20 years. Unless you have your EAD approved, you are not allowed to work and your status is still F1.
