Higher prevailing wage

The company I work for is willing to sponsor me for H1b after my OPT is over, but the wage they offer me is less than the prevailing wage (although it is the same as the actual wage). I am ok with it, since that's the only way I can stay in the US and the salary is way more than what I can get in my country. Is there any way to overcome this problem?

You may be OK, but you are cut over US employee by grabing their job for less salary. Legally employer is liable and for H1 offer has to match with prevailing wage.

I have been offered the wage of the rest US empoyees in the same position in the company. It's not that I am taking the job for less.

Then, Why the hell you are posting your wage is less than prevailing wage.
 
I thought that the prevailing wage was the average of the wages of US citizens in the geographical area, if the company is paying less for their US citizens, the prevailing wage may not necessarily change, isn't that true?

Definition:

Prevailing wage is the minimum wage for a particular job title (Job description) determined by Department of Labor, no body else.

INS will not accept for H1, if wage is less than prevailing wage. In this case your employer is violating the labor law by giving you low salary to avoid US citizens for the same job.
