In the process of filing I-485 and medical exam. Hep B positive for many many many years, but no symptom at all. Because of this, I cannot take Hep B vaccination. Will this affect US immigration?

Thanks,

The doctor will explain what you should or shouldn't do regarding the vaccination.

Yes, a positive Hep B test may affect your immigration chances and you probably will need a waiver.

No, hep B is not a required test for immigration

Hepatitis B is a required vaccination.

But apparently they won't deny your immigration case if you have the disease itself.

As you said having hepatitis B itself is not a problem for GC unlike HIV, syphilis for example. All vaccinations, including hepatitis B, are not mandatory; either vaccination or justification why not from civil surgeon is enough
