i came on a tourist visa with my parents when i was 10 - 10 years ago and some months - the visa has long expired

so what category am i?

You are an illegal immigrant now and you are out of status .

I suppose so. But since I'm married to a USC and won't be leaving the country until I have the GC in my possesion, that shouldn't be a problem, right?

Also, my parents are here, also, out of status. Is that a good thing to put on the application? Makes me a bit nervous.

Well.....I don't know about that.
You should be ok, since you entered the country legally and now you're out of status (will be forgiven because you're married to a USC).

Your parents will be here illegally even if you will hold a green card.
Don't lie about them, but also I think you could seriously get them deported if you disclose where they are.

I would definitely consult an immigration lawyer.
