My case is 2016AF000051xx and i was born in somalia and i am holding djibouti passport and it is mentioned in the letter i received from KCC that Foreign State Chargeability is DJIBOUTI .

In my DV entry country of birth was UAE, a friend put it for me mistakenly since i was grown up there , can i change it in my DS260 application ?
 
The country of birth on your eDV couldn't have been UAE like you're saying because if it was your CN would have started with AS meaning you would have been charged to the Asian region and not AF for Africa like you stated above.

You're fortunate both Djibouti and Somalia fall within the AF region. So you can go ahead and fill out your DS-260 form with the correct place of birth, that is Somali. You may need to point this out at the time of your interview do that your visa is issued with the correct chargeability country.
 
Thank you for your prompt reply. Just to make more clear for you in the DV entry, i put mistakenly UAE as my country of birth and Djibouti as the country of eligibility that's why i got AF case number. i wanted to fix it now in my DS260 , I hope this won't disqualify me
 
Yeah, I thought about your case again and I realized the scenario you described above is quite possible, so forget about what I previously said about it not being possible for you to have selected UAE as country of birth and end up with an AF CN.

Put the correct information on your DS form and keep your fingers crossed. Again, you're fortunate because both Djibouti and Somalia are within the same AF region, so you can't be deemed to have gained any unfair advantage by being charged to Djibouti in place of Somalia.

That number is quite low - you can expect an early interview. Unlocking only causes delay with "significant" changes being made.

Like Simon said, any processing delay likely to happen due to unlocking depends on the type of change made to the form.

You can expect to become current in Oct/Nov since your CN is pretty low.

Do it ASAP. Interview can be as early as September. Hope they won't disqualify you.
