My mom is here in U.S. on visitor visa, she already extended the visa so she will have stayed for a year by May. I am GC holder in Naturalization process - application submitted 8 months ago, still waiting on interview letter, so unlikely I will be able to file GC application for her before May. Is there any way to extend her stay until I become a U.S. citizen and then elligble to apply GC for her?

Thanks in advance!

she's an immediate relative so she doesn't have to maintain any status.

I wouldn't worry about it unless she is planning some kind of trip in the near future.

Still could be a problem. The OP is not a citizen yet and there is no guarantee of if and when the citizenship will be granted. In addition, the B-2 extension is an exception that was granted with the expectation that she would leave the US by the extended date, so there may be additional scrutiny (compared to other people who arrived with a B-2) if she tries to use that extension to pursue a way to immigrate. She should leave the US and use consular processing for the green card.
