I think i'll graduate in august 2008 and it seems (may be) like my case no. will be current only in september 2008. Will I be eligible to apply for OPT after filing for GC with CP?

you should apply for OPT 2 months before you graduate. When you are applying for OPT, there are no questions as to your immigrant intent. Yes, you will be eligible.
Once again Thank you !!! LucyMO for your big big help. I was in a bit of confusion and i have made myself clear. I think i'll graduate in august 2008 and i'll probably apply for OPT in June 2008. I am going for CP and i hope i'll have my GC interview in september 2008.
