help please on New Biometrics data

Hello All,

I won the 2010 DV lottery and received my visa in September 2010, I arrived to the US in November 2010, My point of Entry Houston.

In the Houston Airport my finger prints was taken and my passport was stamped with DV1 stamp valid until Nov. 2010.

I have received my SSN in my address in Phoenix and was expecting to receive my welcome notice and green card, but to my surprise I have received a letter - notice of action- asking me to come for my biometric data in an immigration center in Phoenix.

I have asked all my friends who won the DV lottery before and they said that this is very strange to them because they just received the green card within one month or so after making their first entry to the USA.

I have made the biometric data in Houston Airport and I am not sure why they need it again.

Can anybody help me please.

sorry to hear this story. You have provided your biometric data in the DSP-122 and DS 230 forms . Did you give any false or wrong information there or in the airport? suppose any foreign tour you skipped ?or any other thing ? You have given your finger print twice, once in the embassy now in the airport. I dont think anything found against your fingerprint.

Remember, the USA authority is very very strict in case of false information, either you do it willfully or not. You have to speak the truth all the times . If you think, you were very honest, then dont worry. I think it will be ok. But if you skipped anything...........who knows!!!

I have not provided any false information, in fact in Houston Airport I have not been asked any questions, they have just taken my finger print manually on a form and asked me sign it, I did so and they stamped my passport and said that was all they needed. I asked them about the green card and they said it will come in the mail.

By Biometric they mean the finger print and photo, how can these be false?

Have there been any similar stories where DV winners are asked to re-do Biometric data, I am totally confused, is there any other explanations.

The inked prints were probably unreadable, smudged. At an ASC they will be scanned electronically. Much better equipment will be used.
 
Will I be asked to pay again for this biometric data?
Could this be a mistake or is there any way to call them and talk to them?
 
It happens......you have to provide your finger prints electronically that might be the reason.......no need to worry.....

Can you please provide us with more details regarding this new procedure. any web link?
After finger print at the ASC, will there be any more interviews?

That is irrelevant to this poster who is a DV winner. (S)he just got a bad set of prints that need to be re-done, NO CHARGE.

My point of entry was Houston on the same month with you, my finger prints was taken electronically and was then asked to go inside an office to do the manual thumb print. however is like you skip the 1st procedure, if it is true then the mistake was from the officer you met 1st.
