Hello,
I came to US on student visa (F1) for my Masters. When I came here, I was staying with a member of my family friend. My room-mate was looking for marriage with an H-1 girl (because he had GC). However, after staying with me for around 5-6 months, he as well as me decided to get married. In our family also there was no objection. So we got married when I was in my second semester in the office of the mayor (in USA). We did not get married in religious way nor did we go to India and gave a party. We were not much interested in again marrying in India (our family was also okay with it).
Now, I am done with my Masters (just left with internship). My husband got his US citizenship and is filing for my GC.
Now, my question is:
"Will it be a problem that I did not get married again in India?"
There were many reasons for this (my hubby's mom health was critical, financial problems and some other personal reasons). So we did not feel like having a party in india.
Please help me with my concern.
