HELP! My N-400 case completely disappeared from the USCIS website and no log-in!

PLEASE HELP! I'm freaking out here...... I hope it's nothing
to be worried about... :(

Friday morning, I went to the USCIS website and entered
my case number(ESC*xxxxxxxxx) to see what's going on.
https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do

It kept saying "Case Status Retrieval Failed"
but I know I did have the correct case number.

Next I attempted to log-in using my user name and password here:
https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp

All I got was "Login failed. Your User ID and/or Password are invalid"
Again, I know I have the correct ID/password... :(

I've regularly checked both of those links in the last few months
and they always worked without any problem. (no updated info,
but at least it showed my case status as of many months ago)

When I got home tonight, I tried them again... still the same
results... nothing, nada.... :(

Should I be worried? I imagine the USCIS don't have agents
answering phone over the weekend, so I'll attempt to call
them on Monday to see what's going on.... :(

Did they lose my files? I asked my friend to enter his N-400
case# and it worked just fine. (he just checked about
10 minutes before I started this thread)
:(

I entered my number and it says failed also. It was working yesterday. Dont know what to tell you

Often thats a sign that your case has been transferred to your DO for interview.

As a general note, the online case system is notoriously unreliable. Sometimes updates are never made, and the system continues to report the same old status long after the person has taken their oath.

quietmouse has scheduled interview soon and that is the reason for the dissappearance for him. I am sure he knew about that.

Some people say when your case is ready for interview case status disappears online.

However I already finished interview and waiting for oath still case status is saying - "Your application was received on xx/xx/xxxx and we are working on it.. '

Dont trust online status. It is very unreliable

I hope that's the case... but doubtful... based on the timeline of other
members of this forum, my estimated interview date is sometime in
late July..... almost 4 months away... does the USCIS schedule interviews
this early?

Thanks for any info! :)

For comparison purposes, the only timeline that matters is the one for people at the same DO as you. Each DO has their own interview queue, and thus runs at their own pace.

What about me? Im done with my interview, just waiting for oath.

are you able to check your status online? if you are, what does it say? i have received my IL but the online status check still says the same thing it was saying 2 months ago. i'm just curious to know if the online system changes at all?

quietmouse: What's your PD ? How long was your case# in the online system before it disappeared ?

For us (both mine and my wife's) the case numbers NEVER showed up in the online system until now (our PD is Jan 10, 2008).

Once when I had called, the IO mentioned that our cases are in the queue to be scheduled for interview ... so may be that's what it is.

Someone laughed but his office was the first to respond

GhantaBro, you sent a letter to Dick Cheney?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

In reponse to my letter mailed couple of weeks back, I received a letter from Vice President, Cheney's office. It said:

Thank you for contacting VPfor assistnace in dealing with an agency of the Fed govt. The VP has asked me to respond.

We are forwarding your matter to the Dept of Homeland Sec. .... We have requested that they respond directly to you with a copy to us for our files, and we expect this to be done at the earliest possible opportunity...

Now I am little more hopeful!

Yes, it will be done soon for sure, otherwise the VP might invite the USCIS officer for a turkey hunting trip:)) to discuss this further.
