help me to understand my social security card?

my ssc says valid for work only with dhs authorization. can i replace my card after i get greencard so it doesn't have that writing?and could i use to go back to school? anyone has their social security card with the same saying?please give me some advice or maybe i have to keep it like that until forever.

Relax and take the job...

Yes... once the immigration approves your greencard, then visit the local SS Administration, provide a copy of your greencard and they will order you a new card without the writing on it denoting authorized with DHS authority.

For now, since you have your EAD, get to work and take the job which was waiting on your SS card. Good luck...

Well, using his SSN he can get financial aid for school if he wants to, right? Since those who don't have a SSN need to pay out-of-state tuition which is WAYY more expensive.
