Help!! I am stuck in the twilight Zone!!

Ok, keep me posted. Your situation is better than mine as mine has been 3 months now and no word from these jerks. They have really screwed things up for me.

Man, I have bad news for you. I just got notified via email that a Notice has been mailed to welcome the new permanent resident. That means they finished processing my wife's documents after receiving the medical envelope. That is good news for my wife!

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what to tell you. I would send a letter to the same officer.

Hey dalmazan,
My interview is next week. I was wondering what is your DO? And how was your interview? Please share your experience! Thanks

Hello,

Actually, I did share it on another thread, but I don't mind doin' it again. I sent my papers to the Missouri Center (National) and then had the interview in Atlanta.

The interview went pretty smooth. The officer told my wife they weren't there to deport people, then ran through a bunch of questions and gathering of additional paperwork. We had it all (bank statements, bills, Lease agreement, health insurance, etc.) He then indicated he would approve us, but couldn't because our doctor did not do one particular test (TB Skin Test). We immediately went to the doctor and did the test, and the following day we overnighted the sealed envelope.

Now we got the approval notice. :D Once we get the GC, we'll be very happy people!!!!

Hey, i forgot to ask you, what office did u go to for your interview and what address were you asked to send the skin test to?

Hello, I don't have the address written down at this moment, but I think it was:
2150 Parklake Dr
ATLANTA, GA 30345

The officer's last name was Nelson, and he did tell me to write his Name and my wife's Alien Number(or File Number) below the address. He also told me to request a return receipt so that in case something happened, I had something to prove they received it.

Filing Instructions

That is what the Filing Instructions Said.

Effective, some time ago, all I-130 & 1-485 petitions being filed concurrently must be sent to the Chicago LockBox.

Right?

Hey, my update: I made an infopass appointment to find out what the heck was going on. This time I happened to meet an efficient officer who bothered to pull my file up unlike the previous officer.
I told her that I haven't heard anything from USCIS since I sent in my medical examination and its been a while and all. She pulled up my file with my A#. Then she asked me if I have my passport on me (unfortunately I didnt because it is currently being renewed). She said that my AOS was approved a while ago but they have two systems. One system was updated but the approval wasnt updated on the second system (which I think is the one that prompts for the approval notice and card to be printed). She said she put in a notice for the second system to be updated and if I dont hear anything in 10 days I should come back with my passport to get it stamped.

The inefficiency of USCIS..........

Well, at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. You will be exiting, the twilight zone!

I recevied the "Card Production ordered" email yesterday. You will too soon!

Thanks brother. I wont put my smiley face until I get that email saying my card is in production though. But I at least am happy that I know everything was ok.

Thanks alot!

how long did it actually take from the time you sent the tb test results? when i called they said i had to wait at least 61 days from the date of the last action??

I went to the interview on the 17, and sent the TB results the very next day. They received it the day after. So from the 19th of April to the 19th of May, when I got the GC, it was exactly one month

Any updates? We just received the GC!!!!
Nothing yet, no updates even. The officer said about 10 business days and that will make that the 25th. Still waiting to see. Question for you though, what was the date of issuance on your green card. What I'm trying to get at is if these fools will put the issuance date it was supposedly approved (way back when) or will they put some recent date. I would hate this because it will push back my 3 year wait to file for citizenship if you catch my drift?

Holla at me homie

I went back to our most-efficient government agency today as I never got an LUD or email. Apparently the officer who was supposd to update my information went on a cruise and just got back. The officer I talked to today was even making fun of her (original officer) and how she is just getting into "work mode" as she has a stash of files on her desk. He actually brought my file out that the officer had ordered from the national benefits center. I was so damn pissed. Apparently my adjustment of status has been approved since February 21!!! Bcos of these jerks, my anniversary trip had to be cancelled and my application for financial aid has had to be delayed. The officer I talked to this morning did go ahead and stamp my passport though. So apparently since Feb.21, I've been a permanent resident but had no proof (no card or stamp). He said she (the officer that just got back from her cruise) will update the system either today or tomorrow. It's just so damn annoying man, these jerks!!! Too bad there is not a way to report to a manager or someone in congress.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I was granted PR on 10/15/03 and I was informed on 12/26/03 about it. I guess the bottom line is, when seeking a benefit (as opposed to a right) one has to bear all that is dished out at times!!!
