HELP! H1B Transfer while still working from another company and some travel questions

I am working for Company A and have an offer from Company B. I will be able to join Company B only after 6 weeks .Can company B file for my h1 transfer while I am working for Company A. Also during my 6 weeks with Company A , I have a overseas trip scheduled. I will still be working for Company A on a valid H1b and plan on returning back to the US while still being current employee with Company A.
I guess the question is will the transfer cause any issues with my trip?
Also my h1b is valid till March 2007. Is there a limit to the months of validity to transfer h1?

------NO, H1 transfer approval will take 2-4 months.
why not to file H1 transfer when you come back after the Trip???

Also my h1b is valid till March 2007.
