Hello. I finished a 2-year college in Canada and got a computer programmer diploma 9 years ago, but don't have a transcript. The diploma states the year of graduation and the name of the program. I also have a university degree in programming from my home country, but the diploma/transcript are not translated into English, since I never had a need to, I think I should probably do it asap and get it evaluated too.

Last year the officer in Canad POE did not ask me for a transcript, but may it cause any potential issues when receiving another TN at POE in the future? Somebody had a bad experience with lack of the transcript?

Thanks.

Your diploma should be fine (as it was last year) as long as it is simple to make the connection to your TN category.

But, you should get a transcript; it should not be that difficult.

And yes, it would be wise for you to have your foreign degree translated and evaluated. You may need this if you ever get into a position of getting an H1 or better yet, a permanent resident petition.

there was a case of a chinese/canadian professional who tried to obtain a TN. he graduated from his home country. eventhough he had his degree translated to english, the officer sent him back because his degree wasnt evaluated by canadian institutions. he got it done and he got his visa. it never hurts to budget $50-100 for evaluation when it comes to visa.
your canadian college transcript should be pretty simple. call your college
