Dear applicants,
Has anyone gotten any Oath. I was told Supervisors have to approve any files that have records (criminal), Mandatory procedure.
I was told by the second IO who looked at my file to be submitted to a Supervisor that I have to wait and probably in few days I will get a response. he also mentioned that the record is not an issue with my file since it was a misdemeanor and he mentioned 2004 though it was 2000. Anyway, I was wondering since it has been two weeks since I have been there for document verification. Is there anyone with similar situation?

BobSMYTH,
WANTED TO THANK BOBSMITH FIRST AND FOREMOST AND THE FOUNDER OF THE FORUM AS WELL.
I wanted you to be the second one to know after my wife, that I have recieved the Oath letter and I am set for the 16th swearing in ceremony at the district court in Houston.
I want to personally thank you for ll the advice and all the encouragement and all the hope you instill in everyone else when they come running seeking help. You do your best to help even when it does not come as expected at least you have given hope.
Some of us this is our home at home when we have those issues. I do want and will continue to be on here and share my experiences. And though busy with Medicine and becoming a Doctor at least I now know that after the Oath, I will be able to do any job with my degree plan.
Thank you and I am staying out of trouble and hoping I will get done and start a line of life.
Please know this comes from the bottom of my heart. I am copying and pasting to the thread as well. It has been a roller coaster. My file was bad with so many red flags the IO said, one denied marriage, one attempted marriage, new marriage had questions, check bounced when sent to USCIS, born a child out of web lock, not birth certificate and so much more which led for me to be grilled by Supervisor but I pulled through from the Moderator above and the other family members on here.
Please stay strong, I thought my case was the worst but there is always a worse one other than yours, so stay up and keep your head up everybody. In two weeks, my journey will end but a new life will be born.

Congratulations Nelson!!..good to see that your long citizenship journey is finally coming to an end. Be back to share with us your oath ceremony..I'm sure it will be an emotional time for you.

:) Nelson,

Congratulations!! :) It seems as if you have been through hell for this naturalization. I wish you success in medical school as well. Enjoy the oath ceremony and take a whole lots of pictures with other newly minted USC...:D Remember, no citation or speeding till you are sworn in...

Thanx everyone, I am very emotional, I still think my problems were only mine. I have not see such a loong rap of a story from Visa, green Card to Citizenship.
But all in all, my family here, I thank you all.
Will post OATH when that's done. Staying in skul for now and driving carefully.
