My question might seem weird, but I really need an advice.
I'm a US citizen. I have a half-sibling (we have different mothers, but the same father). Can I petition for my half-sister? But it's not all. She is my half-sister de-facto, but not de-jure. I mean, my mother and my dad were not married, I don't have my father's name in my birth certificate (there's no father's name there at all). My parents are alive. Will it be enough to have words of witnesses, will we need a DNA test to prove relationship? Can anything be done in this case to make it possible for me to bring my sister close to me?
