Would there be any problem in getting an H4 visa stamp from India if the spouse (H1B1 status holder) does not have a H1B stamp in his passport ? All other documents (original I797, copies of H1B petition etc) are available. Can anyone share recent experience in getting wife's H4 stamping under this similar conditions.

I've done it at Chennai without spouse's H1 stamp. Please include few paystubs and last years (w-2) as additional supporting evidence. Take about 8-10 business days.
