h4 visa transfer(urgent please respond)

My wife is on h4 visa which expires in Jan06 and I changed my employer and they have filed my h1 transfer. Does my wife need to do any paperwork too till jan06. Can she go to India and comeback on her existing h4 stamp which as I mentioned is till jan06.

----- yes if she has Valid H4 visa stamp it has nothing to with your H1 transfer .
*** remember you need to file her H4 extension 4-5 months advance or any day BEFORE her I-94 expires in Jan 06, use form I-539 and she will get H4 extended till your new H1 transfer approval. many file H4 extension with H1 transfer so that both you and your spouse will have I-94 attached with approvals and I-94 expiring same date and you dont forget that she needs H4 to be extended becase many transfer H1 but later forget to file H4 extension .

Hi Guys i am in the same boat too..

I was working for company A and then changed to company B...Me and My wife both have our passport stamped for Company A.

Now my wife is in India she is on H4 and coming back to US..our Company A H1/H4 is valid til feb 2005.

What document does she need at the port of entry. we did not apply for her H4 transfer. So currently she has her passport stamped with Company A H4 Visa valid til feb 2005 and Copy of my H1B approval for new company B.

Do you see any problem..

------no problem she can enter with valid visa stamp of A but if you send her your company B H1 Transfer approval and she shows visa stamp of A AND your H1 approval at POE then she will get I-94 till your H1 transfer approval ask her to check her I-94 validity at POE
