H4 visa pending

Hi,
I was on an F1 visa and applied for a change of status to H4 in Nov. 2005... and am yet to hear from USCIS! Is that the normal time they take to process these visas ? Right now, I basically don't have a visa and my status is pending...
I tried calling them twice and they only have 'made an enquiry'... said they would get back to me in 30 days... its been so long !

If nothing else works, you may try to upgrade it to premium processing. Not sure if it is possible for H4 also (it is possible for H1).

Just wanted to let you know that there is no premium processing available for H4 visa.
