H4 Visa and unpaid Internship

Hello All

Before posting searched but did not find anything.

My spouse (on H4 visa) is a graduate student and i want to know whether she can go for an unpaid Internship during her course.

I have done this. When I was on F1(I dont know abt other school but our school had a policy where you cannot work as intern until you complete 2 semesters). I did work as a volunteer programmer for almost 11 months as I had not completed 2 full semesters.
Its a good idea to get a letter( on the lines of offer letter) clearly stating that you are a volunteer temp employee without any salary and any benefits.
