H4 to TD Change of status Question

Hello,

I want to apply change of status for my kids. They are on H4 right now. I am on TN, I want to change them to TD.

Can we apply online or we need to send the application manually?

What are the supporting documents we need to send for the TD application?

Did your status change from H1 to TN?
I-539 filed manually. One application for all. Costs $$
Same docs you sed for H4, with a copy of your I-94 for TN.
I would wait until next time you cross the border and do it for free.

My Husband is on H1 and they are on H4 as his dependents. He is moving back to Canada on project. I am on TN, so I want to move them from H4 to TD as my dependents. I think once he move out from US will they be out of status?

If he is giving up his H1, then, yes, they should switch.

Some will say that H4/TDs are not in status when the primary is physically out of the country -- including weekends and vacations, etc -- but this is not so. However, since H1 has a physical location associated with it, it would be simpler to get TD for them, since there is no such physical location restriction.
