I came to US on H4 visa 4 years Back. While Appearing for H4 visa in india,i did not show up my soft ware experience.Just i mentioned in the application form saying that doing some business( for safe side to h4 visa)

After i came here i changed my visa status to H1 .For that i used my previous software experience, which i have in india. And worked some time on that year which i got visa. After that i changed to new employer and then working continuously with out break.

Now i am planning to go to india for h1 visa stamping(first time) in india and i am planning to go to same embassy where i got my h4.

Now i have two questions.

1) I i submit all papers with india experience for h1 visa, which i did not claim at the time of H4 visa stamping. Will it effect for my h1 visa stamping?

2)If they ask all previous w2 papers, In one year i worked only few months.(That shows i did not worked continuously) will that matters for visa stamping. Can they ask any questions on my previous w2 forms?

If any one has experience on this kind of situations ,can please share with me.

Thanks,

1. You would not have submitted your resume when you filed for H4. So you are safe

2. Yes it is likely.

There have been experiences posted in this forum long back where a h4 to h1 was denied in calcutta, chennai embassies. Even the H4 was denied later. You need strong documentation to prove that you did not have the intent to cheat the embassy while applying for h4.
