H4 to H1 (travel during processing)

I am currently on H4 visa still valid until September 2009. I am a medical student and entering residency in the month of June. My hospital would be filing my H1B visa petition next week. The hospital is exempt from the quota. They would do the premium processing.

I am planning to go out of the country and come back at end of May 2007. I am planning to go using my H4 visa and come back on the same. I am sure my H1B visa would be approved by then.

My question is, would there be any problem coming back on valid H4 visa even when my new H1B petition would be approved. Any input is much appreciated.

-------are the filing H4 to Change of status or New H1? if they file H4 to H1 COS and if you go out while Change of status is pending then COS is Abandoned . better go out after H1 is approved and then get H1 visa stamp from the US consulate and then enter on H1 status.
