H4 to F1 sponsor from US

hey guys,

i am applying for a change of status from H4 to F1 to the california center. is it better to show my husband, who's on an H1 of course, and my sister, who has a green card, as my co-sponsors? or should i show my husband and my parents (who are in india)..

pls help!!
 
Hi phoenixdesi,
if your university is providing you any tuition waivers or TA / RA'ship, that would be your primary sponsor... your husband could be your co-sponsor.. if your husband has a sound bank balance to cover any costs that are not covered by tuition fees waivers or scholarships, you won't need any more names on the sponsorship...
my wife went through the same drill 4 months back, and thankfully everything worked out well..

thanks experio. unfortunately the master's program for which i've got admission doesn't offer any scholarships etc for intl students. but i know i have a chance to get TAs etc once i'm on an F1. knowing that...would my husband as the primary sponsor be ok?
