Hi immigration gurus,

Here is the practical situation:

I am working On h1 and am going to India (Delhi) early next year to marry. I will get leave for max. of 20 days. I have heard it takes about a month or more to get the Visa appointment. Is there any way I can bring my would-be H4 with me. Is there any special clause / rule etc. for this kind of situation?

Don't laugh, but can a appointment be taken in advance for H4 even though the H1 & and would-be H4 are not currently married?

----------- I dont think for H4 you can take appointment Before you marry. your spouse need to get marriage certificate and may have to get new passport with married name.Mumbai consulate needs spouse name to be endorsed on passport or new passport copy with new married name
