I am glad if anyone could help me..

I am working on H1. I have changed company A to B.

My wife recently went to us consulate chennai with for her H4 stamping with my valid Visa with company A and approval from my present company B.
They refused h4 stamping for the reason of not having new company stamping on my passport.

They said must attend with spouce when he attends for his H1B stamping.

Since I dont have leave to go to India, Now I am planning to go to canada for my H1B stamping, and hoping that will work..Kindly suggest .me at

thats a really good idea. You can get done ur h1b stamping in canada quickly and smoothly ( provided ur case is straight) and meanwhile you can get appt for ur wife in Chennai again.

I did take appointment in september last week, for my wife H4.
If I get stamped in July, I am planning my wife to make a visit next tuesday.
The only doubt I have is Will they allow my wife because of my stamping done at canada(they wrote must attend with spouce when he attend for his H1b stamping for his new company)

I am in the same boat as you are. From the other threads, I have read that it is not necessary for your wife to go for visa stamping. As long as her H4 visa is valid, she can enter US. Is there any reason that she is going for stamping?

I am on H1 (6yrs completed, got the 7th yr ext based on 365-days labor approval pending) shifted from company A to B. I have my visa stamping on my previous company name "A" till end of July. My wife and daughter also got their 7th yr extensions thru company "B" and they too had valid visa stamping on my previous company name " A" till July end.

They are planing to go to India for vacation in July and planning to get visa stamping in Chennai in Septemeber. I am not going to India and our visa stampings will be expired by the time they go for stamping.

Do they face the same problem since I am not attending for Visa Stamp along with them? Do I need to have valid visa stamped on my passport before they attend for new H4 stamping in chennai?

Please advice me based on this situation.

One of the reader in this forum wrote, In chennai consulate denied H4 last week , the reason being H1 visa should be stamped before issuing H4.
Strange, but thats what happening in Chennai

My wife came in Safe and Sound last week from India . No issues. Officer just asked for passport, not even H4 approval notice.
 
Visa Issuance from Chennai Consulate

Friends,

Is there any way we can get the visa stamped passport by hand next day rather than it being dispatched by courrier. Anyone has experiences in this regard, please share your thoughts..

H4 Revalidation

Hello All,

My H1B and wifes H4 is going to expire in this month and my company has applied for my H1B and Wifes H4 extension. Question is my Wife is visiting India in August and I have following questions. Any answers are really appreciated.

1. Is the DROP BOX facility is available? if yes can we use for H4 revalidation.?

2. If I need to go counslate, can we go any consulate in India.? Chennai availability is horrible.

3. How about getting revalidate either in Mexico or Canada before she goes to India?
