H4 Extension While out of US

Hi,

Currently my wife is in India and I'm wondering Can apply for my wife extension when she is out of US ? I plan to apply for my wife H4 extension along with my H1 extension.

She plan to come back before the visa expires i.e October 3rd.
Is there any rule that I have to apply for extension atleast 1 month or 2 months before Visa expires ?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

to apply for H4 extn you need current I 94, your wife's old I 94 was already handed over to Point of Exit while leaving to India. Now she does not posses I 94 ( valid status in US). With no status (not present) in US, one can not extend their non-immigrant visa in US.
