H4 Extension question

Hi,

I have a valid H1 Visa and my wife has a valid H4 visa which will expire in few months. We also have EAD card based on my I-485 application. Recently my wife started to work using her EAD card, but I continue to work in H1. I will be completing sixth year in my H1. Since my H1 and her H4 are expiring , we have to apply for renewal of both. I would like to know, since my wife used her EAD to work, is her H4 is still valid ? and can she apply for H4 extension alongwith my H1B extension?

----------as she used EAD she is not on valid H4 status
and can she apply for H4 extension alongwith my H1B extension?
*** BUT in the same situation of your wife I have seen H4 extended by USCIS when filed before I-94 expiry date (I know few cases). talk to your lawyer.
