h4 extension i539 required documents

Anyone who has filed form i539 h4 extension on his/her own? Could u please tell me if copy of the passport is also needed as a required document, which I think is not needed as per I539.
 
H4 extenstion

I am going to file for my wife as well and I haven't received my H1-B filing receipt yet.

I don't think you will need copy of passport what you need is fill in your passport info in section # 4 on I-539.

does any body know or have experience in filing H4 extenstion (form 1-539) without the H1-B filing receipt ?

--- what is the harm if you attach her passport page?
