H4-EAD to TN

Hi folks
I am currently on h4 and my ead is expiring end of this month. My renewal is currently in progress but it will take another 6-8 months to get it and my company cannot afford to lose my employment. So I am applying for TN. I already received my TN letter from the company and getting ready to go to the border.

Has anyone in similar situation and can share some questions they asked?

What is the best answer if they ask why you want to move to TN when ur ead is in progress?

since TN is considered to be temporary and show that you will return to Canada - how can I show that? My mom lives in Canada and I have already sponsored for Canadian PR for my spouse.
 
The answer is that your work permit is expiring and this is the quickest way to get a new one.

TN's don't have to prove anything regarding foreign ties, residence, etc. They merely agree that they will leave when their work authorization is finished.

Your H4 was temporary too,

Oh great - thank you. I could say that my company cannot afford to lose me as we are at a crucial point of upgrade.
I guess the reason I was concerned to say that was because it may not come off as ‘temporary’.
 
Your TN is temporary but renewable. You don't need to prove how valuable you are. You are qualified. That is enough.
