H4 after 7th year extension to F1 conversion

Hi,

My wife is on a H-4 currently.She is on an H-4 since 2 1/2 years. I am on a H-1 since 7 years. I and my wife had filed for the 7th year extension last year.

Now my wife wants to join a dental school. Is it possible to get a F-1 Visa for her after we filed for the 7th year extension Or Do we have to be out of the US for 1 year before she is eligible for an F-1 Visa.

I know she can continue school on H-4 but we dont want to take that option.

Can somebody help me in this issue.

Did you get I 20 already or going to apply now. Best option is change to F1 as soon as you get your I 20.
Nowadays admissions are very competitive, requires very good score in ADA Part I & II and TOEFL too, depends on the state where you are going to do your schooling.
You have to show definitely the financial source for 2 years ( around $100,000), most of the school do not provide financial assistance to international student/program.
 
No she has not applied . She has finished Part-I NBDE and TOEFL.I am trying to find out whether she can get a F-1 Visa as I am already on h-1 B 7th year extension.

Some body told me that neither me nor my wife would get an F-1 as we are in the 7th year H1-B extension
