Hello Friends,

I really need your advise and help. My 6 year H1 is going to expire in March30 and i haven't got my EAD(Rd Nov21). I need to get Interm EAD! can you guys tell me what documents and fees and i need to carry when i go to local office.

If there is Thread avilable for this, can provide that!

Your help is really appriciated!

1. You can go for 7th year H1- that is a costlier process.
2. I am not sure if interim EAD is avilbale for the first time. It is defnitely available for EAD renewals. But you can and should try after 90 days of pending EAD. Depending the center some ask ofr 140 approval etc.

Interim EAD should be available for first-time and renewals. You will need to bring in your I-485 receipt and your I-765 receipt (which indicates that the EAD app has been pending >180 days).

Thanks Much sb_tiger! I am expecting answer from you only. I always count on you for any help on this Forum.

you are right no need for 7th year. EAD is good

My I-140 approved in Dec. i am trying to call local INS, they were busy since from morning, if they say ok to issues IEAD,can you provide me thread which tells what documents do i need for IEAD?

Thanks

Hi Gorilla, there might be some advantages for H1B over the EAD. For example, you can use H1B as travel document. Also you can continue working just by sending your H1B renewal application. So, it may be good idea also to apply for your 7th year H1-B.

...and it is not expensive any more as they reduced the fee.
