h1b visa with consular notiification.. Help needed !!!

Hi Folks,

My new employer applied for a new H1 B with premium processing with Consular Notification

I am expecting the H1 approval any time now . I am in the US and have to go to India ( Chennai ) to get my H1 stamped..

Can anyone help me out with the process to be followed in India and the paperwork that is required ?

Do I have to set up an appointment or do I drop my applictaion in the drop box at CHennai

I need some enlightening since all this consular stuff is new to me ..

Does City matter ?

I have a new question , On my H1 Approval , it says that the Consulate is Mumbai,

I plan to go to Chennai for the stamping..

DO i have to have a I-824 filed ?

I am in a similar situation. H1 approval mentions Mumbai consulate, but I live and work in Delhi. Also, my L1 visa was rejected by Delhi consulate 3 months before.

Can I go to Delhi consulate for stamping, or should I go to Mumbai consulate only?
