H1B visa Stamping appointment dilemma.

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen currently residing in the U.S.A. I came to the U.S. on study (F1) visa in 2002 and after graduating got a job following which my company applied for my H1 visa which was approved last month and will start from October 1st, 2005. I am planning to come to India in December for getting the Visa stamping on my passport. I have a question to ask. When I had applied for my F1 visa, I was in Nagpur and so I came under Mumbai Consulate's jurisdiction and as a result I went to Mumbai for my visa appointment. My parents are presently living in Madhya Pradesh where my dad works in a private company which again falls into Mumbai region for visa purposes. Lastly, the address which I have given in my I-129 is my permanent address which is in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Now, when I visited the Nonimmigrant Visa webpage on the embassy's website, I came across this line which said that you have to be a resident of the states which fall under Mumbai's jurisdiction for the last six months in order to take appointment at Mumbai Consulate. So, as I have been in the US for the past three years, I am not sure as to where I should apply for my appointment, Mumbai or Delhi ?

I would appreciate if you would be kind enough to give me your opinion at your earliest convenience.

Thank You.

If you have Bombay address, go to embassy at Bombay.
Thank You.
